Historical Significance
Saqifah Bani Sa‘idah was a roofed shelter used by the Banu Sa'idah clan of the Khazraj tribe. It is historically significant as the site where the Ansar gathered after the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to discuss succession, leading to the election of Abu Bakr (r.a.) as the first Caliph of Islam.
